I think in all these years I have been decorating cakes trying to improve my craft, the one thing that just doesn't seem to get any easier is drawing on cakes. Especially life like drawings. For that, I think you need to be a trained artist.
You have to get their nose just in the right spot. Positioned so perfectly in between the eyes. And do not forget the mouth. You have to have the perfect ratio of lip to teeth. Too much lip and we are looking at a Mick Jagger disaster.
Here is my Disney rendition of Cinderella.
All those years of making sheet pan after sheet pan of roses seem to pay off.

Maybe a few drawing classes will be in the near future.
